Dnia 3 czerwca 2020 r. z żalem pożegnaliśmy Marię Klementowską – oddaną lekarkę, która z poświęceniem przez 62 lata pracowała w Kole, lecząc mieszkańców miasta i naszego powiatu. Zmarła w wieku 89 lat. Pracowała do samego końca. Żegnało ją wierne grono kilku pokoleń wdzięcznych pacjentów oraz rodzina, znajomi i przyjaciele. Wśród nich znany regionalista kolski Kazimierz Kasperkiewicz, który kilkadziesiąt lat przyjaźnił się ze ś.p. Marią Klementowską i był jej pacjentem, a także współautorem „Kolskiego słownika biograficznego” wydanego przez MTC w Kole w 2014 r., z którego zamieszczamy poniżej biogram i zdjęcie zmarłej Pani Doktor. Nasza Redakcja przyłącza się do kondolencji.
MARIA KLEMENTOWSKA (z domu Kubiak) urodziła się 25 lutego 1931 roku w Czempiniu (pow.kościański, woj. wielkopolskie). Ojciec – powstaniec wielkopolski i uczestnik wojny w 1920 roku, był kierownikiem tamtejszej gazowni miejskiej.
Szkołę podstawową ukończyła w Czempiniu, gimnazjum w 1949 roku w Poznaniu, a liceum – w 1951 roku w Sopocie. Studiowała na Akademii Medycznej w Gdańsku, a następnie w Poznaniu, gdzie w 1957 roku uzyskała tytuł lekarza medycyny. W roku 1961 uzyskała I stopień specjalizacji chorób wewnętrznych, a w roku 1964 – II stopień. W 1963 roku uzyskała też I stopień specjalizacji z patomorfologii.
Po ukończeniu studiów w 1957 roku rozpoczęła pracę w Szpitalu Powiatowym w Głogowie. Od roku 1958 do 1978 pracowała w Szpitalu Powiatowym w Kole na stanowisku zastępcy ordynatora Oddziału Chorób Wewnętrznych, a równocześnie w latach 1960-1984 była patomorfologiem Szpitala. W l. 1959-1998 pracowała w lecznictwie otwartym, tj. w przychodni ogólnej i poradni internistycznej. Od 1969 do 1971 roku była kierownikiem Przychodni Obwodowej. W latach 1999-2000 pracowała w poradni lekarza rodzinnego, a od roku 2001 na pół etatu w poradni rodzinnej Vita Med w Kole. W latach 1978-1998 sprawowała też funkcję inspektora ds. orzecznictwa lekarskiego na terenie Powiatu Kolskiego.
Zamężna była od roku 1959, a od 1984 r. była wdową. Jej mąż również był lekarzem. Wychowali córkę Beatę i syna Jacka.
