Dyrektor Samodzielnego Publicznego Zakładu Opieki Zdrowotnej w Kole wystąpiła do Burmistrza Miasta Koła z prośbą o wsparcie finansowe w kwocie 20.000 zł na zakup środków ochrony osobistej dla personelu medycznego Szpitala oraz zakup na respiratora 40.000 zł. Burmistrz zareagował natychmiast. Potrzebne na zakup urządzenia 40 tys. zł zostało przeznaczone z budżetu miasta (z nadwyżki), natomiast z rezerwy celowej utworzonej na zadania z zakresu zarządzania kryzysowego zostaną zakupione za 20 tys. zł środki ochrony osobistej dla personelu medycznego. Dziś podczas sesji zaakceptowali to kolscy radni miejscy (13 było za, 2 wstrzymało się, 1 osoba była przeciw). Kolejne 100.000 zł, zarządzeniem Burmistrza, będą również przeznaczone na walkę z pandemią w Mieście Kole.
– Wszystkie sprawy, które były dla mnie, jako włodarza, najważniejsze, odzyskają swój priorytet, gdy ustąpi zagrożenie życia i zdrowia mieszkańców – zapewnił Burmistrz Miasta Koła dr Krzysztof Witkowski. – Teraz, w obliczu trudnej sytuacji w kraju i na świecie, moim podstawowym obowiązkiem jest zadbać o Państwa bezpieczeństwo.

Dlatego włodarz, bez zwłoki, odpowiedział na apel pani dyrektor i przeznaczył na walkę z zagrożeniem środki, o jakie zabiegała szefowa lecznicy.
– Dziękuję radnym miejskim, że pomimo trudnej sytuacji, dbają o kolskie sprawy i przegłosowali zmiany w budżecie, dające mi możliwość wsparcia potrzeb szpitala – powiedział burmistrz.
Sesja była krótka, ale dyskusja przez chwilę rozgorzała wśród radnych. Chodziło o zmiany w budżecie i rozdysponowanie środków.
