Pani Irena Siwińska skończyła 100 lat. Dzień urodzin spędziła w gronie najbliższych. Wśród zaproszonych gości znaleźli się m.in. przedstawiciele Urzędu Miejskiego w Kole oraz ZUS-u. Dostojna Jubilatka ma syna, wnuczkę i wnuka oraz czworo prawnucząt. Od przeszło 20 lat mieszka w Domu Pomocy Społecznej w Kole prowadzonym przez Siostry Orionistki pod kierownictwem siostry dyrektor Anieli Krupy, gdzie ma zapewnioną troskliwą opiekę oraz rehabilitację.
Dyrekcja Domu wraz z personelem przygotowała ciepłe przyjęcie, w którym uczestniczyła rodzina i wielu gości. Zaproszeni życzyli stulatce przede wszystkim zdrowia. Zgodnie ze zwyczajem, gratulacje do pani Ireny Siwińskiej przesłał Prezes Rady Ministrów Mateusz Morawiecki:
– Należy Pani do pokolenia głęboko doświadczonego w dziejach Polski, które stawało przed różnymi wyzwaniami. Była Pani świadkiem wielu trudnych, ale i doniosłych wydarzeń, które kształtowały kolejne pokolenia Polaków, ich patriotyzm i miłość Ojczyzny. Seniorzy stanowią dziś (…) niezwykle istotną grupę naszego społeczeństwa. Możecie jeszcze bardzo wiele dać rodzinie, najbliższemu otoczeniu, a także innym, szczególnie młodym ludziom, wkraczającym w czas dokonywania pierwszych, ważnych życiowych wyborów. Święty Jan Paweł II nazwał Seniorów „strażnikami pamięci zbiorowej”, którzy „mają szczególny tytuł, aby być wyrazicielami wspólnych ideałów i wartości”. (…) składam na Pani ręce serdeczne podziękowania za wszelkie trudy i owoce minionych lat, za tę swoistą lekcję życiowej wytrwałości

Obecni śpiewająco życzyli zdrowia, szczęścia i błogosławieństwa, częstowali się pysznym tortem i innymi słodkościami.
