Spółka Miejski Zakład Wodociągów i Kanalizacji zakończyła inwestycję pod nazwą „Modernizacja i rozbudowa stacji uzdatniania wody w Kole ul. Zawadzkiego”. Burmistrz Miasta Koła dr Krzysztof Witkowski wraz z prezesem MZWiK Sp. z o.o. Robertem Gajdą, zapraszając do wspólnego stołu Prezesa Zarządu HYDRO-MARKO Marię Pluta oraz dr hab. inż. Profesor Politechniki Śląskiej Jolantę Gumińską, po podpisaniu protokołu odbioru inwestycji, zorganizowali konferencję prasową podsumowująca to zadanie. Inwestycja zgodnie z harmonogramem miała się zakończyć 28 lutego 2015 r. Tak się jednak nie stało.
– Projekt trwał od 2013 roku, a około 2015 r. wykryto błędy i nie dokonano odbioru inwestycji – powiedział prezes Robert Gajda. Niezakończenie inwestycji spowodowało napiętą sytuację pomiędzy spółką a Wojewódzkim Funduszem Ochrony Środowiska i Gospodarki Wodnej. Fundusz wezwał do natychmiastowego zwrotu udzielonej na zadanie pożyczki (z odsetkami), a była to kwota przekraczająca 3.600.000 zł.
– Wiosną tego roku udało mi się podpisać ugodę z wykonawcą głównym, firmą HYDRO-MARKO. W myśl ugody wykonawca zobligowany został do zrealizowania nowego projektu modernizacji. Nastąpiło poszerzenie drugiego rzędu filtrów o dodatkowe, usprawnienie całego systemu produkcji wody i automatyki. Dzięki wykonaniu tych zadań, będących warunkiem udzielonej pożyczki w WFOŚiGW, uniknęliśmy konieczności natychmiastowego jej zwrotu. Zbliżamy się do wykazania przez Spółkę aspektów ekologicznych inwestycji, a co za tym idzie, mamy szansę na umorzenie części pożyczki. Teraz mamy wysoką wydajność. Mieszkańcy nie muszą się obawiać niższego ciśnienia wody ani jej braku – zakończył prezes MZWiK.
