W ramach programu „Wielkopolska Odnowa Wsi 2013-2020” w IX edycji konkursu „Pięknieje wielkopolska wieś” dnia 19 lipca 2019 roku w Urzędzie Gminy w Kościelcu, została podpisana umowa o udzielenie pomocy finansowej z Urzędem Marszałkowskim Województwa Wielkopolskiego. Wójt Gminy Dariusz Ostrowski wraz z Wicemarszałkiem Województwa Wielkopolskiego Krzysztofem Grabskim zawarli umowę na dofinansowanie projektu pn. „Zagospodarowanie terenu poprzez budowę placu zabaw w miejscowości Police Średnie”. Kwota dotowania wynosi 30.000 zł, natomiast koszt całego przedsięwzięcia około 57.000 zł. Z terenu Powiatu Kolskiego w konkursie udział wzięły cztery gminy: Dąbie, Grzegorzew, Kościelec, Olszówka. Łączna kwota dotacji dla gmin wyniosła ponad 120 tyś zł.
